Abstract: Nowadays,starpatternrecognitionmethodsusedonstarsensorshaveshortcomingsofredundancymatch,matchingslow,lowrecognitionrate,andsoon.Toovercomethis,thestarpatternrecognitionalgorithmwasstudied,andanewalgorithmwasproposed.Firstly,redundancyinformationfromtraditionalstarcatalogwasextracted.Theskycoveragewasdividedtomakesurethatdifferentskycoveragehasthesimilarnavstarnumber.Secondly,featureinformationfromthephotowasextractedtomatchthefeatureinformationdatabase.Afterthealgorithmwasdesigned,thestarsensorswiththefieldofview15°×15°wereselectedandsimulated.Simulationresultsshowthatthematchingofthewholeskycanbefinishedin15sbythisalgorithm,andthesuccessratecanreachover98%.
